But there's one woman who can always put a smile on Simon Cowell's face.
He grinned with delight as he and fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy left Cecconi's Restaurant in West Hollywood last night.
It seemed the make-up artist was equally pleased, smiling away as she stayed close to him.
The pair even seemed to have started dressing alike - with the 36-year-old apeing Cowell's style in a plain black dress.
The couple confirmed their engagement in February, after introducing her to his friends and family at his birthday bash.

Mezhgan has made it clear that she is not star-struck by Cowell - or his brusque manner - as she calls the multi-millionaire 'a piece of cake' adding 'his bark is much bigger than his bite'.
As a child she fled her native Afghanistan with her family in 1981 because her parents feared the Taliban would take her three brothers into the army.
Mezhgan and her family spent nine months in Pakistan before receiving permission to move to the U.S.
