New man? Lindsay Lohan leaves Trousdale night club in Los Angeles with a mystery man
It's the film that really made her name and it's one the few roles she's been remembered for.
But Lindsay Lohan is not featured on the front cover of the video game version of Mean Girls.
The actress, who has become more famous for her partying than her work, is strangely absent from the cover despite her co-stars from the film appearing
Where's Lindsay? The party girl is mysteriously absent from the cover of Nintendo DS game Mean Girls, even though it follows her character from the film
And, stranger yet, the game follows Lohan's character from the film, Cady, through her high school adventures - making her absence from the cover even more of a mystery.
It has been suggested by some sources that games company Nintendo snubbed Miss Lohan.
Her behaviour thus far possibly considered a bad example for the young audience the game is aimed at.
Recent allegations regarding the actress' return to drug use and drinking, which she has denied, can't have helped.
So it has been left down to Lohan's co-stars Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert, also known as The Plastics in the film, to star on the game's cover.
In the film Lindsay plays Cady, a girl who has been home schooled for much of her life until she starts high school - she initially makes friends with some geeks, but also joins the popular girls (The Plastics).
Defining role: Lindsay Lohan, far left, seen in Mean Girls in 2004 with Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert and Rachel McAdams
The movie follows her journey with both groups, eventually seeing her find out who her true friends really are.
And it was the 2004 film that really shot Miss Lohan to fame.
In fact, her name is often preceeded by 'Mean Girls actress' even though it was released some six years ago.
But things could be looking up for the actress if reports that suggest Quentin Tarantino wants to cast her in his latest project are to be believed.
A report in the Guardian newspaper suggests that Lohan made such an impression on the set of Machete that the cult director is lining up a part for her in a forthcoming project that will "instantly propel her back into the big league".
The new film is based on the fake trailer from the start of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse.
Having previously buoyed the careers of actors such as John Travolta, Pam Grier and David Carradine, it is thought there may be hope for Lindsay Lohan too.
Meanwhile, she was pictured leaving Los Angeles club Trousdale with a new mystery man last night.
This time around the man in question looked smart and chiseled, dressed in a sharp black blazer, a black V-neck, dark jeans and a pair of black shoes, while Lindsay wore a sheer animal print dress with thigh-high boots
