Katy Perry and Russell Brand to wed in India later this year, Rihanna reveals

Russell Brand and Katy Perry are to wed in India at the end of this year, their pop star friend Rihanna has let slip.

The couple's nuptials will take place in the same country where Brand, 34, proposed in December last year.

And Rihanna confirmed the pressure is on for her to make Perry's final night of singledom one to remember - because the singer has asked her to plan the hen party.

'She put that on me last week,' she told US radio DJ Ryan Seacrest during an interview on his Kiis FM show.

'I have to come up with something cool because she's getting married in India so I'm like "Okay, now what do I do to match that?"'

'That's at the end of the year so we've got some time to plan that,' she added

Brand proposed to Perry, 25, on New Year's Eve, during a romantic trip to India's Taj Rambagh Palace hotel.

The couple, who had been dating for just four months when the comedian popped the question, are expected to have a star-studded wedding.

Brand's close pals include TV star Jonathan Ross, funnyman David Walliams, singer Morrissey and former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher.

As well as Rihanna, Perry's guest list is expected to included American pop star Taylor Swift.

The I Kissed A Girl songstress recently revealed that her long-haired fiancé had turned into a Bridezilla who was obsessed with weddings.

'He's a total bridezilla,' she said. 'He's like a freak. He's always buying bride magazines.

'Every time we go out for breakfast, he's like "Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?"'

This week Perry posted a hilarious photo of Brand wearing a wedding dress on Twitter.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star put on a wild-eyed expression as he posed in the lacy outfit and veil.
