Hope that Amy Winehouse would ever record and release some new material had all but faded until recently.
But it seems the award-winning singer is back in the studio and making music again, reuniting with Mark Ronson to collaborate on a new project.
Amy, 28, was pictured to-and-froing between the producer, at the Mayfair Hotel, and her north London studio last night working until 3.30am.
She made two trips to see Ronson, 37, first collection some lyrics from him, which she took with her to her new studio.
It has been reported that the studio, located opposite Pentonville prison, has been named Slammer Studios by the singer because of its distance from the jail.
After a three-hour session in the Slammer, Amy returned to the Mayfair hotel spending another 90 minutes with Ronson before heading home in the early hours flanked by her burly bouncers.

She even took time to change her top, first wearing a colourful cowgirl-style sleeveless shirt, which was unbuttoned to reveal her cleavage.
Then, on her second visit to the hotel, she wore a navy blue Fred Perry polo shirt.
Ronson recently confirmed that he is working with Amy again after the two allegedly fell out while trying to record material for her third album

He originally worked with her on the Back To Black album, receiving high praise.
The two were then said to be collaborating on the theme song to James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace, but recording ceased due to Amy's continued drug abuse and inability to focus on the project.
An official statement from Winehouse's U.S. spokesperson at the time said: 'Mark had presented a track to Amy but she had other ideas about the direction it should take.
She’s always made her own decisions about her music. Needless to say, this is part of the process between artist and producer and we're sure they will continue to make great music together.'

It was then reported that they had fallen out while trying to record tracks for Amy's third album.
However, they appear to have reconciled any alleged differences and Ronson recently told The Sun newspaper: 'There'll be something to hear quite soon. That's all I can say. There's something good coming.'
In other news Amy managed to escape corrective surgery on her breasts earlier this week.
She was admitted to hospital on Monday after suffering from chest pains, which she apparently believed were caused by her implants.
However, she was simply sent home and ordered to rest.
