Brian McFadden celebrates his 30th birthday in style with his fiancee Delta Goodrem at a B-themed party in Sydney

Brian McFadden has seemingly been around forever, but the former Westlife star has only just turned 30.

The singer celebrated his milestone by throwing a huge B-themed fancy dress party in Sydney, Australia where he now resides with fiancee Delta Goodrem.

McFadden dressed up as 1950s rock 'n roll singer Buddy Holly, while Miss Goodrem, 25, threw on a 'Band Leader Barbie' outfit.

The former Neighbours actress wore a raunchy ensemble consisting of a black and pink dress and matching hat, a blonde wig, pink knee-length socks and a pair of clear-heeled shoes.

Describing his partner's outfit Brian, who was previously married to Kerry Katona, said: 'It was a burlesquey kind of band leader outfit.'

'One of my friends was dressed as David Bowie. I was impressed by that. There was a Beauty and the Beast and a lot of bogans: that’s chavs or rednecks.'

The couple appeared happy and content together, putting paid to rumours they may be about to split.

It was recently alleged that they had started living apart with Brian apparently leaving their £1.2million Sydney home to live with a video director named Dan Reisinger.

However, there were no signs of any discontent between the two at the party where other costumes worn by guests included Bob The Builder, David Bowie, Boy George and Batman.

Walls at the venue where McFadden's party was held were decorated with photographs from different periods during the singer's life.

And he was presented with a huge chocolate cake featuring a picture of himself taken during his time with Westlife.

Meanwhile the Australia's Got Talent judge has said that fellow member of the judging panel Dannii Minogue is not how people may expect her to be.

He admitted that she has grown on him since he joined the panel on the talent show.

The Sun quotes the former Westlife singer as saying: 'Dannii’s not soft at all.

People would expect her to be mum-like but she’s pretty hard.”

'When we met she looked into my eyes and said, "I’m trying to see what Delta sees in you".


New ventures: Brian is currently riding high in the iTunes chart in Australia with his first solo effort going to number one


'She has this sneaky wit. I love that about her. She’s really grown on me. She’s great.'

He is currently riding high in the Australian iTunes chart with his new single Just Say So hitting the number one spot.

But he now faces a week-long wait to see whether it can top the official ARIA chart.

He told his Twitter followers: "Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes and also thanks to everyone who bought the single... still #1..... unbelievable."

However, he added: 'I'm not getting too excited about the number one. It's still early days in the week. Fingers toes and nuts crossed it stays there to Friday.'

Just Say So is the first single to be released from McFadden's new electropop album Wall Of Soundz, which is due out on April 23.
