What about that retirement plan? Lily Allen, who has said she has 'no plans' to record another album, was spotted at the Universal Music offices yesterday
For a time Lily Allen would tell anyone who would listen that she was retiring from music.
But it seems the pop star has reserved the right to change her mind.
The 24-year-old, who has been very vocal about her plans to quit the industry to follow a career in fashion and start a family, was spotted visiting a record company in London yesterday.
She emerged from the offices of Universal Music in high spirits, seemingly buoyed by discussions with the label's executives.
Perhaps she has rediscovered her passion for pop after receiving two songwriting nominations for the 2010 Ivor Novello Awards on Tuesday.
The singer's hit The Fear will compete for the Best Song Musically & Lyrically and Most Performed Work prizes at the 55th annual ceremony, which takes place next month.
Lily was moved to tears by the nod, telling her Twitter followers: 'So honoured, I cried a little.'
Change of heart? The pop star was in good spirits after the meeting
The It's Not Right announced in September that she had 'no plans to make another record' and that her last gig would be with Dizzee Rascal on March 7 at the O2 Arena.
She then decided to put off her retirement by another 119 days after agreeing to join Jay-Z on stage at Wireless festival in July.
If stays true to her word, she will instead focus on launching a fashion label called Lucy In Disguise with her sister Sarah Owen.
Lily has also said that she hopes to have children ‘soon’ with her boyfriend, Sam Cooper.
Swan song: Lily has promised her gig with Jay-Z at this summer's Wireless Festival will be her last... but will she stay true to her word?
