Dagenham diva: Stacey Solomon goes back to Essex for a night out in the pub with friends


She was the X Factor contestant from Dagenham who charmed the nation with her bubbly personality and amazing voice.

And last night Stacey Solomon went back to her roots in Essex for a night out on the town to let her hair down.

The single mother-of-one poked her tongue out in front of the camera and goofed around as she posed with friends and enjoyed a few drinks in the Essex pub, showing she's not afraid to make fun of herself.

Luckily the singer wasn't too hungover today to make an appearance at Royal Ascot at Berkshire racecourse though and posted on Twitter: 'Ascot here I come woooo xxxxx.'

But while at the pub with friends, the blonde bombshell proved she's still the girl-next-door who stole the X Factor judge’s hearts and dressed down in skinny white jeans and Ugg boots.

And since her rumoured romance with X Factor runner-up Olly Murs ended, the leggy singer still appears to be enjoying single life.

She was pictured with Jeff Brazier last month following their meeting on the national X Factor tour but insisted that the two single parents from Essex are just friends.

Despite not claiming as much fame following the talent show as her fellow contestants like Diana Vickers and Jedward, Stacy has got an upcoming performance at a 14th Century castle.

She’ll join Jamie Archer, Danyl Johnson, Ruth Lorenzo and John and Edward Grimes for a concert at Cawdor near Inverness.

The former ITV talent show contestants will rock out the castle on August 27, the night before Westlife perform at the same venue.

And also in her line-up over the summer months, the Dagenham diva is set to join Diversity in her home town at The Dagenham Town show.

She’ll perform as part of the tribute acts to Lady Gaga and Take That, delivering pop songs on July 17 and 18 at at the Barking and Dagenham Civic Centre.

We’ll have to wait and see if Solomon will compete in the music charts with the likes of Diana Vickers though, as so far she is yet to release any music videos to start her pop career outside of the talent show.
