Demi Moore wears a power suit as she gets down to business on the set of her new movie

Power dressing: Demi Moore in serious mood on the set of her new movie Margin Call in New York yesterday

Demi Moore looked like she really meant business as she arrived on the set of her new movie yesterday.

The star was focused on the job as she filmed scenes for her new indie thriller, Margin Call, in which she plays a chief risk management officer.

And her serious look, combined with smart navy blue jacket, skirt and updo, made her look every inch the sassy businesswoman on the New York shoot.

The film tracks the desperate manoeuvrings of eight investment bank employees over a 24-hour period on the eve of the Wall Street financial crisis.

Moore, who last appeared alongside David Duchovny in comedy drama The Joneses, appears alongside Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Zachary Quinto and Stanley Tucci in the film.

And perhaps this latest project could make it into the pages of the star's forthcoming memoirs.

It was recently announced that 47-year-old Moore would be penning a candid narrative which would focus on her relationship with her mother and her three daughters with former husband Bruce Willis.
