With filming dramatic scenes in Coronation Street and frequent trips down to London for awards show, it's no surprise Michelle Keegan is feeling under the weather.

As she arrived at Granada Studios yesterday for another long day on set, the pretty actress was sporting a rather painful looking cold sore on her nose.

Despite the red blister, the 22-year-old looked in good spirits and stopped her car to chat to a fan as she drove to work

Although more commonly found on people's mouths, cold sores can appear anywhere on the face after contact with an infected person.

The pretty actress, who plays Tina McIntyre in the Weatherfield soap, is currently filming a dramatic storyline as her character comes to terms with her father Joe's mysterious death.

She falsely believes her stepmother Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) murdered him, when in fact he accidentally killed himself while attempting to fake his own death for an insurance scam.

Tina finds herself for bereft after the death of her father she stops eating and ends up collapsing at her flat.

Fortunately, her friend Graeme Proctor is on hand to make sure she starts eating and keep a watchful eye over her.

Keegan was back on set after a busy week which saw her glamming up for the Royal Television Society Awards on Tuesday and filming a spoof episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show in character.

The episode sees Tina's ex-boyfriend - and now stepbrother - David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) accuse her of having an affair with his older brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).

Tina shared a kiss with Nick over Christmas following an argument with her fiance Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas), who is still legally married to David's sister Sarah-Louise (Tina O'Brien).

Keegan recently denied romance rumours linking her to Thomas, who recently split from O'Brien after seven years together.

Keegan has been dating Manchester club promoter Brad Howard for over a year.

She said: 'Things are good between us and it's quite a serious relationship.

'We don't live together and we have our own lives and we each do our own thing. We haven't spoken about moving in together - we're happy with the way things are at the moment.'
