Peaches Geldof spends eight hours at the hairdressers... but hides the results under her hood

By Lizzie Smith

Hiding away: After EIGHT hours at London hairdresser Taylor Taylor, Peaches Geldof borrowed her friend's hooded coat to hide her new look

After spending eight hours at the hairdressers, most girls would be keen to show off their glossy hairdo.

But not Peaches Geldof. After her marathon session at a London salon yesterday she left with a hood pulled over her new look.

The 20-year-old even swapped the fake fur coat she arrived in for a friend's black hooded version so that she could hide away.

Luckily for Peaches she didn't have to entertain herself while in the chair at Taylor Taylor.

The socialite, who normally sports a bleached blonde hairdo, took along her best friend Fifi Brown.

She tweeted that her new hair was 'snow queen styles'.

And she told fans: 'Fifi Brown just said to me "I don't know about all this salon b******* - whenever I bleach my hair I just get a handful and slap it on".'

No peeking: Peaches hid her hair away as she left the salon for a DJ set

But with Peaches' modelling deals for Ultimo and various fashion shoots, she can't afford to be so slap hazard.

Mind you, it's unlikely Peaches didn't spend the entire time getting her hair done.
A salon manager said: 'She was doing more than getting her hair done, that would have been extraordinary.'

The East End salon, which has an impressive list of celebrity clients, also boasts a cocktail bar and offers various beauty services in highly stylised rooms.

Amongst the stars who pop in are La Roux, James Blunt, Calvin Harris, Ladyhawke, The Klaxons, the Guillemots, The Thrills, KT Tunstall, Zoe Ball and even Sir Ian McKellan.

After leaving the salon Peaches and her friend headed off for a DJing set.

But there was no chance for Peaches to show off her new look - it was on Gaydar radio.

Peaches is currently based in London, after spending much of the past two years in the U.S.

Bob Geldof's daughter combines occasional columns for a fashion magazine with modelling, fashion design and DJing sets.
