You can call on me: Lady Gaga wears a receiver sculpted out of hair in video for her track Telephone
You can always call on Lady Gaga to serve up a style surprise.
The pop star has released the first official photos from her new video for the track Telephone, her dance track with Beyoncé.
Taking a very literal cue from the song's title, she fashioned a receiver out of bright yellow hair extensions for the music clip.
She also balances a plastic chef hat as she plays the part of a waitress in a diner.
Of course, the 23-year-old has a penchant for bizarre headpieces, most memorably the huge blonde hair bow she wore in the video for her hit, Poker Face.
In another scene, Lady Gaga is decked out in an American flag bandanna and matching bikini.
The full video is scheduled for release next month, but insiders hint it is inspired by the work of Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino.
Sources describe the chemistry between Beyoncé and Lady Gaga as 'magical.'

Of course it is not their first collaboration - they teamed last year for the remix of Beyoncé's Video Phone.
Lady Gaga performed a stripped down version of Telephone at London's Brit Awards on Tuesday night which she dedicated to fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who was found dead in an apparent suicide last week.
It was a night of mixed emotions for the star, who counted McQueen as a close friend.
She went on to win best international female artist, best international breakthrough act and best international album for The Fame.
