As a newly engaged woman, Katy Perry could be forgiven for wanting her first Valentine's Day to be perfect.

So ahead of the romantic day the I Kissed A Girl singer headed out for some beauty treatments.

The 25-year-old visited a waxing salon in Los Angeles, before showing off the results in a super short fitted miniskirt.

She teamed it with a trilby and pink shoe boots as she headed to meet U.S. gossip blogger Perez hilton for lunch.

Katy, engaged to comedian Russell Brand, later tweeted: 'Coming up for air... To say Happy VDay!!!'

Katy is sure to have had a memorable Valentine's Day.

She reportedly treated Brand to a purple Bentley Brooklands worth half a million pounds, from a dealership in Newport Beach, California

She was inspired by The Who drummer Keith Moon, who had a purple Rolls Royce.

A source told the Daily Star: 'Katy really thought about this.

'Originally she was planning to buy him an Aston Martin but changed her mind when he spotted an 007 number plate in West Hollywood. She said James Bond wannabes were naff.'
