Ashlee Simpson's turreted Hollywood mansion may be the stuff of dreams, but the singer has put the $4million villa on the market.

The 25-year-old singer and actress bought the five bedroom, six bathroom property in 2007 for $4.5million before she married Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz.

But now that she is keen to expand her brood, perhaps five rooms just won't be enough.

Ashlee told OK!: 'We’d love to have more kids. I love being a mother. We’re together all the time.

'Bronx is definitely finding himself, and he’s getting his own personality, so hide-and-seek, and new little things. He does sign language, so that’s been fun.'

Ashlee was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday as she made her way to a hair salon.

In skinny grey jeans, silver pumps and clutching an oversized black bag, the 25-year-old singer who was accompanied by a friend, popped into Starbucks before heading to celebrity stylist Ken Paves hair salon in West Hollywood.

Contrary to her rock chick image, pictures of the singer's home reveal quite a traditional side.

The living room features cathedral beamed ceilings, walnut plank floors and French doors that open to decks with views.

The Mediterranean style villa has an open plan kitchen, an upstairs master bedroom suite with matching his-and-her closets, a fitness room and a media room leading outside to the swimming pool and spa.

While the courtyard contains a meditation garden with a fountain and fire pit.

Estate agents Sotheby's Realty described the home as 'ideal for discerning clients with stunning views of the hills and canyon.'

Ashlee has been in New York since November after reprising her role as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical production Chicago.

Her final show was on February 7 but she stayed in the Big Apple to help her Fall Out Boy rocker husband Pete Wentz prepare for his new collection at the city's Fashion Week.

Pete, 31, is currently on hiatus from the band and this week was concentrating his efforts on his fashion label Clandestine Industries as he showed off his Autumn Winter Fall 2010 collection.

And he shocked the audience when, at the end of the show, he took his ovation from the crowd as he was wheeled on to the catwalk strapped to a gurney, dressed in a straight-jacket and Hannibal Lecter style face mask.
