But Beyonce is clearly not most women as she sported what can only be seen as highly unsuitable footwear for some retail therapy round London today.
The singer was snapped out and about in Mayfair, where she tottered into the designer shop Browns.
If course, unlike most of us girls, Beyonce probably didn't need to do too much walking as she was ferried around the capital in a car.
She was pictured leaving the small boutique, which sells designer clothes with her entourage on tow, but she appeared to be empty-handed.
She looked stunning in her black jumpsuit, her heels showing off her hot pink toenail polish.

And while she may not have bought anything, the visit wasn't a total waste of time though as she managed to make one small fan's day.
She was approached by the young girl as she left the shop, and was more than happy to pose for a photograph with her, the fan's beaming grin revealing her delight at meeting her idol.
