So little time, so many shops! Leighton Meester is overloaded with designer wares as she films Gossip Girl in Paris

Parisian chic: Leighton Meester balances her bunch of designer bags as she films scenes for Gossip Girl in Paris yesterday


It’s a hard life being a Gossip Girl.

Or so star Leighton Meester found yesterday as she carried a multitude of designer bags around Paris while filming a scene for the show.

The 24-year-old actress wore a purple short satin dress with a black lacy shrug and high heels as she balanced the Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags over her arms.

Weighed down by the bags, she had to keep her balance in very high heels, as she tottered along in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

Meester, who plays scheming Manhattan socialite Blair Waldorf in the show, is currently in the French capital to film scenes for its forthcoming new season which airs in the U.S. this autumn.

The drama series, which revolves around the lives of privileged New York kids, is well known for its sense of style.

And Meester clearly enjoys being able to indulge her love of fashion on set.

‘If I don't take risks with fashion, where the hell am I going to take risks?’ she told Harper’s Bazaar last year, name checking Stella McCartney, Chloé, and Calvin Klein as some of her favourite designers.

She also said being on the show meant she could now afford to spalsh out more on designer goods.

‘I have more shoes, more clothes, and less worries as far as finances go,' she added.
