What's wrong with Lily Allen? Singer takes a tumble after Aussie gig

A worse for wear Lily Allen caused a stir at the Big Day Out Festival in Australia yesterday, when she collapsed on the ground.

With her make-up smudged and messy hair dripping with sweat, the singer wobbled across the tarmac before stumbling on the floor.

The dishevelled 24-year-old was being ushered away from the stage at the Claremont Showground in Perth after performing to thousands of fans on the hot summer day

Clearly in high spirits following her set, Lily staggered down the stairs wrapped in a blanket before a minder came to her aid.

But halfway between the stage and her car, Lily tumbled to the floor.

But she clearly wasn't injured after her laughing associates quickly helped her up again and guided her into the car.

Her haphazard appearance appeared to suggest she may have been drinking or perhaps she was just feeling worse for wear due to the sweltering 32c sunshine.

Whatever was behind Lily's strange behaviour, she certainly looked ready for a lie down as she finally climbed into the car.

During her set at the festival, Lily performed her hits including The Fear and Smile to an appreciative crowd.

Wearing a silver sequinned shawl and denim shorts, the singer appeared to be feeling hot and bothered in her outfit.

She kept lifting up her shawl and flashing her bra at the audience, presumably in a bid to cool down.

Lily has been touring Australia and New Zealand with the Big Day Out Festival since last month and Sunday marked her last ever gig.

In between festivals, she's been spotted hanging out with the members of rock band Muse, who were also on the bill.

Lily last performed at the festival three years ago, and admitted she had drunk so much at the time, she barely remembered it.

She said: 'I was so drunk I can't even remember what it was about

She famously threw a glass at Jet frontman Chris Cester backstage, but fortunately it was caught by one of his entourage.

In an interview with GQ magazine last year, Lily said she wasn't ashamed of her partying ways and spoke openly about past drug use.

She added: 'I think as long as you're not being malicious and you're not hurting people then you should not be ashamed of what you do.

'I've taken drugs. I found them and find them fun and I don’t think I’m a bad person because of it.'

Lily also said there nothing wrong with getting drunk at parties.

She said: 'I think the way I behave is normal for someone my age and in my situation.

'I know a lot of guys in bands who go to awards ceremonies and get into the same sort of states that I get myself into, and that's not negatively reported on. So it feels kind of unjust.'
