Cheryl Cole gets £250,000 for 30-minute hotel show in Cannes

Cheryl Cole arrived at Heathrow Airport just days ago but will be jetting to Cannes to make a brief appearance at a dinner and party for a whopping £250,000


Cheryl Cole probably doesn't need any more money-spinning deals after her fortune soared 150 per cent in a year.

Still, who would turn down £250,000 for a 30-minute performance?

The 26-year-old will make the brief appearance tonight at a Cannes dinner and party hosted by luxury jewellery firm de Grisogono

She is also believed to be receiving jewellery for her effort at the Hotel du Cap, where guests will include fashion figures Naomi Campbell and Margerita Missoni.

Miss Cole has worn pieces by the jeweller on The X Factor.

It is the latest money-spinning deal the star has secured. She earned £1.2million for the last series of the TV talent show, a figure that is expected to rise this year.

She has also signed deals worth £500,000 each with L'Oreal and Coca-Cola Zero, and seen her debut solo album, 3 Words, go to No.1 - all of which has helped take her fortune from £4million to £10million.

Her wealth has landed her a spot on the Rich List for musicians aged under 30.
Miss Cole is on a European tour with the Black Eyed Peas and is due to perform in Paris on Thursday.

While she is in Cannes, close friend Will.i.am from the band will be performing in Monte Carlo.

There has been speculation about their friendship, fuelled by his comments that she is the 'most beautiful woman'.

They collaborated on 2008 single Heartbreaker, months after allegations that estranged husband Ashley had cheated on her.

The Daily Mail reported last month that she is planning to end their three-year marriage.

Sources say she is likely to keep their £6million nine-bedroom Surrey home.
