Beyonce plays the world's sexiest jewel thief in new advert for her clothing line

By Mail Online Showbiz Reporter

Sexy spy: Beyonce plays a jewel thief in the new Brazilian TV advertisement for her Dereon by Beyonce fashion line

She's known for her vocal acrobatics and booty-shaking dance moves.

But Beyonce gets the chance to show off her gymnastics skills as she cartwheels and flips over laser beams in a new advertising campaign.

The 28-year-old plays a sexy jewel thief in the new Brazilian TV ad for her Dereon by Beyonce fashion line, which sells exclusively in C&A department stores.

Limber: Beyonce proves the best advert for her form fitting clingy black dress

Beyonce shows just how form-fitting and flexible the clothes are as her little black dress clings perfectly to her curves during her daring stunts.

As you would expect, the soundtrack to the ad is Beyonce's 2009 hit Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

The ad appears to be inspired by a scene from 1999 film Entrapment, which stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as an insurance investigator posing as a thief in a bid to catch Sean Connery's professional criminal.

House of Dereon was launched by the Knowles family in 2006 as a pret-a-porter fashion line, and followed soon after by the Dereon line, for younger women

Flexible: Beyonce performed all her own stunts herself into the energetic video

Balancing act: Beyonce cartwheels confidently over the lasers just managing to keep her modesty

... and as you would expect, the soundtrack to the ad is her hit single Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)

The gowns range in price from $300-$500 and are on sale in U.S. department stores, including Bloomingdale's, Neuman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Dereon was the maiden name of Beyonce's grandmother Agnèz Deréon, whose married name Agnèz Beyincé inspired the singer's first name

The collection is sold with the tagline 'Couture. Kick. Soul' as it represents the spirits of three generations of Knowles women.

In shape: Beyonce models a black bandage dress which sells for 79 Brazilian reals

Bling bling: Beyonce is mesmerised by the gorgeous jewel

Eyes on the prize: Beyonce finally gets up close to the diamond - but will she be able to get it back out of the high-security room?

Tina is the 'couture' thanks to her design talents, Beyonce brings the 'kick', while late Agnez had the 'soul'.

Along with House of Dereon and the Dereon fashion line, the Knowles family recently announced plans to expand their business to include home furnishings.

Tina said: 'Both Beyonce and I are huge fans of home furnishings and try to stay on top of this ever-changing market.

'As someone who has also realised many interior-design projects, I am so excited to expand our House of Dereon and Dereon brands in this category

Inspiration? Catherine Zeta-Jones as Gin in a scene from 1999 film Entrapment

'The thought that we would have something to do in brightening up someone's home, especially bedrooms, is truly wonderful.'

Beyonce is so involved with the marketing of the label she even name-checked their jeans in her 2009 hit Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

In the single, she sings: 'Got me tighter than my Dereon jeans.'

Before Dereon, Tina was responsible was dressing Beyonce's former group Destiny's Child and custom-made matching outfits for the trio.

Over the moon! Danielle Hope has won the dream role of the new Dorothy... but it's been a rocky road to Oz

By Spencer Bright

Rainbow's end: Winner Danielle Hope with judge Charlotte Church

Danielle Hope says she felt a bit like a wallflower during the early stages of BBC1's search for a Dorothy to star in the new West end production of The Wizard Of Oz.

She admits she didn't have the big personality or the quirkiness of some of the other girls and, to add to her shyness, she was inwardly terrified.

But with Andrew Lloyd Webber and the other judges urging more acting and emotion - on top of the essential singing and dancing skills - Danielle, 18, suddenly summoned up tremendous depth and feeling to win her the role.

Where does the pain and vulnerability in her performance come from? It turns out she was drawing on her own life.

'I think it comes back to my mum and dad getting divorced when i was 11. At that age, the transition from primary to high school is traumatic enough. I just took it in, dealt with it and grew up.'

That period wasn't without its tears. 'My parents were happier apart, much better as people. it's quite a strange thing to accept at that age because instantly you think life as you know it is over. Then you realise that it happens, life is life, and people are people.

Star overnight: Hope at last night's premiere of Sex and the City 2 at the Odeon in London's Leicester Square

'I think that might have been the making of me, because all of a sudden this security at home vanished and I had to stand on my own two feet.'

She remains close to both parents - her mother Tracy is a bar manager, and her father Brian is a builder. Danielle and her brother David, 16, have spent time living with both.

When we meet, she is understandably ebullient. Barefoot, in a slinky sleeveless floor length black jersey dress and devoid of the Dorothy corset and panstick, she has translucent skin - like the porcelain doll her mother compared her to when she was younger.

Only her mother was alluding to her lack of assertiveness rather than her complexion. 'My defence mechanism has always been to put my fences up,' she says.

'I wanted this so much, but i thought: "If I admit that, it's going to hurt ten times harder if I don't get it." I think sometimes it might have appeared that i didn't want it.

'But, finally, on the last show i put my heart on my sleeve and thought "There it is. Please, please, please don't break it." i just finally had to open up.'

Her worst moment was just prior to the live finals. She was standing in line as judge Charlotte Church walked up and down, placing her hand on the shoulder of the girls who wouldn't make it to the final live shows.

'She stopped in front of me and I thought: "Oh my God!" My heart was racing. She smiled like she was going to tap me, then she carried on and rejected the next person.'

Danielle says the Dorothys' relationship with the judges - Charlotte Church, Sheila Hancock and John Partridge - was detached.

'They didn't know us well. That way they could form a professional opinion. But they always had a reason for what they said.

'It was good because you could walk away with something to work on. Sheila's incredible.

'I wanted her advice on acting and she was straight to the point. If she didn't think it was right she would say so.

'I was afraid of John because I'd never been confident in my dance ability. When we danced, he twirled me round and I felt like a Disney princess. He was fabulous.'

Danielle insists there was no real rivalry in the Dorothy house in London's Chiswick.

'I was expecting hell. But we genuinely gelled. I was so close to different people for different reasons at different times. We were so supportive of each other.

Close contest: Hope went head-to-head with Welsh redhead Evans in the final

They've found their Dorothy... and their Toto: Hope and Dave join the judging panel Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sheila Hancock, Charlotte Church, John Partridge and Graham Norton

'We just felt we were in it together. if each person had thought it was their show and wanted to dominate, it wouldn't have worked.

'There were times when it would have been easy to fall apart and be on our own, but if you're going through a stressful time you need others. 'The other girls were the only people who could understand.'

One of the most uncomfortable parts for the girls was having to say who they thought should be voted off that week.

'I said to Steph once: "You were in the bottom two last week, can i say you and you say me?" and she said I could.

'We hated it because we felt the programme makers wanted to create some sort of atmosphere and it always came out differently to the way it was intended.

That was really difficult, but none of us took it personally.' In the final Andrew Lloyd Webber saved his highest praise for Danielle, telling her: 'You are a worthy follower for the greats like Liza Minnelli and, of course, the wonderful Judy Garland.'

Danielle says: 'I'm flattered, but i didn't know who Andrew wanted. I think this is why he was so professional about it. He would have been happy to work with any of us.'

Before she heads off over the rainbow there are a few situations to deal with.

She takes her A-level theatre studies exam on June 9 before beginning rehearsals for the show at the London Palladium.

Back home in Urmston, south Manchester, she has a boyfriend of nine months,

Taylor Danson, 18. 'He's been so supportive,' she says. 'At this age you don't know, do you? You can only live life day by day. Who knows what will happen in the future, but I'm happy with where i am now.'

The charity single Over The Rainbow is out now on download and CD on Monday. Tickets for The Wizard Of Oz are on sale now. Visit wizardof ozthemusical.com

Amanda Holden channels the Sugar Plum Fairy at the Sex And The City 2 premiere

By Sarah Bull

Fairytale: Amanda Holden channeled the Sugar Plum Fairy in the dress she wore to the Sex And The City 2 premiere last night

Going to a film premiere in a beautiful dress is every little girl's dream.

So it's no wonder Amanda Holden opted to wear a fairytale outfit to the London premiere of Sex And The City 2.

After tweeting she was 'so excited' about going to the event, Britain's Got Talent judge arrived in a pink dress clearly inspired by The Nutcracker's Sugar Plum Fairy.

Tutu: The pretty pink dress had a corseted top and a full tulle skirt

With a corseted top and full skirt, complete with diamond accessories, Amanda's outfit was perfectly suited to the premiere.

And despite some critics suggesting the dress might be a little young for her, the 39-year-old couldn't keep the smile from her face as she walked down the red carpet - clearly happy with her dress choice.

Excited: Amanda tweeted this photo of herself before she left for the premiere

Fan: The Britain's Got Talent judge sidles up to Sex And The City 2 star Chris Noth at the premiere

The outfit was also reminiscent of the tutu Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw wears in the opening credits of the Sex And The City TV series.

The tutu, which Carrie teamed with a white vest top, even made a reappearance in the first SATC film in 2008 - when Carrie cleared out her wardrobe when she moved flat.

Inspiration: Amanda appeared to have channelled both Carrie Bradshaw's tutu and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker in her outfit

Glee goes Gaga! Cast dress up in singer's crazy costumes for tribute episode

By Daily Mail Reporter

Paying tribute: Glee dedicated last night's episode to eccentric Lady Gaga, who is as famous for her bizarre costumes as she is for her hit songs

First it was Madonna, now the cast of Glee have paid homage to another pop icon - Lady Gaga.

In the show, which aired last night in the U.S., the cast performed renditions of the star's biggest hits while wearing her most memorable costumes.

Flamyboyant Kurt, who is played by Chris Colfer, took centre stage for Bad Romance while wearing her famous bold-shouldered silver number - complete with pair of towering armadillo shoes.

Putting on a Poker Face: Tina and Kurt, played by Jenna Ushkowitz and Chris Colfer, faced the wrath of McKinley High School's bullies

Glee star Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, revealed how her one of her outfits was inspired by Gaga's Kermit The Frog number.

'We establish that Rachel doesn't have that many Kermits, so she uses her stuffed animals,' she said.

'She can't put it together very well, so later gets a lovely Poker Face makeover.'

Kicking up his heels: The flamboyant performer wore Lady Gaga's famous silver dress - and towering armadillo shoes

Toying around: Rachel's outfit was inspired by Gaga's Kermit The Frog number

Lady Gaga gave the episode her seal of approval before it aired, telling Entertainment Weekly: 'I love Glee. I love the cast and the creativity of the writers.

'I went to a musical theatre school, and used to dream that someday the students would be singing my songs. Can't wait for Bad Romance and Poker Face in Glee fashion!

Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes, was impressed with her ensemble.

Fancy dress: Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes (centre), revelled in parading around in the star's outfit

High note: The cast performed a version of the singer's huge hit Bad Romance

'[It] was actually one of the easier ones and not that painful,' she said.

Big fan: Lady Gaga, pictured here in her famous bubble dress, loved the episode

'It just involves [Gaga's] famous bow and a very hot wig. I'm not foreign to wigs. I've worn them before.'

But Heather Morris, who plays Britney, said of wearing the infamous lobster hat: 'It was such a chore to wear because I had to dance in it and it wasn't made for dancing.

'It took us 45 minutes to get it on and off every day. All I could see was what was directly in front of me.'

Series creator Ryan Murphy decided on a Gaga-themed episode following the success of the Madonna Glee tribute show earlier this year.

He is also considering dedicating show to chart topper Britney Spears, saying earlier this month: 'We're talking to Britney.

'I think you have to be very careful on the show not to do too many tribute episodes. But she certainly has a huge body of work to pull from and the kids grew up with her so that is a consideration.'

'We're the new Brangelina,' jokes Katy Perry as she hits red carpet in sexy silver dress to promote Russell Brand's movie

By Daily Mail Reporter

Red carpet moment: Russell Brand and Katy Perry make an entrance at the premiere of Get Him To The Greek

Russell Brand and his fiancée Katy Perry revelled in the limelight last night at the premiere of his first leading role in a feature film.

The couple glided hand in hand down the red carpet for Get Him To The Greek in slightly offbeat style, as one might expect, with a metallic theme to their outfits.

Katy wore a silver dress slashes to the high with purple stilettos and Brand was dressed all in white with shirt unbuttoned to the navel and gold winklepickers.

Brand, 35 next week, is reprising his role from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but Katy seemed more excited than her fiancé at the Greek Theatre in LA.

Dazzling: The couple made for quite a sight at the premiere where they sported outfits that were slightly offbeat in comparison to standard red carpet fare

Completing her look with a pair of lilac heels and a Cleopatra-style fringe hairstyle, reminiscent of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, she said: ‘I do feel like the new Brangelina with his movie coming out. We're going to the premiere and everything is happening at the same time.

‘It is somewhat of a blessing because if one of us wasn't working, we'd get annoyed with each other.'

Other guests at the event included Brand's co-stars Jonah Hill, Leslie Mann (who is married to director Judd Apatow) and Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who was accompanied by his mother Janice.

Also present were High School Musical couple Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron

Co-star: Funnyman Jonah Hill plays a record label intern who goes on a rollercoaster journey - here he is pictured with his girlfriend Jordan

The boss: Sean Diddy Combs plays a record label director, mirroring his real-life position - the rap mogul attended the premiere with his mother Janice

Vanessa, 21, covered up with a cropped leather goose jacket over a floral print mini-dress teamed with black patent heels, while her boyfriend also wore a jacket over a black v-neck T-shirt, jeans and Converse trainers.

Brand's performance as rock star Aldous Snow in Sarah Marhall that this movie was written specifically for him.

Hill plays a record company intern who is hired by Diddy to accompany the out-of-control singer from London back to a concert at LA’s Greek Theatre.

A rollercoaster of adventures result in some allegedly hilarious moments.

Star couple: High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens pose on the red carpet at the premiere of Get Him To The Greek

Glamour: Comedy actress Leslie Mann, who is married to director Judd Apatow and Rose Byrne, who also co-stars in the new film

Meanwhile, at the premiere of his new movie Brand admitted to having a threesome the day before his first date with his current fiancée.

He revealed to MTV News: 'It was two women for the sake of efficiency. It's nice to have sex with loads and loads of people.

'But my life has changed. I have not cheated on Katy. I have not got off with other birds.'

Then, asked about being apart from her whilst shooting the movie Brand, said: 'It's not as good, because you're away from your actual girlfriend and you can't have sex with all the people out there.'

Earlier this week Brand played a gig with Libertines star Carl Barat, who wrote some of the songs for the new film.

Brand paid tribute to Barat early on in the evening at the gig, which took place at Los Angeles venue The Roxy.

Brand's birds: Kristen Bell, who appeared in prequel Forgetting Sarah Marshall and cast member Elisabeth Moss, who plays Daphne Binks

He said: 'In this film I play Aldous Snow, a fictional rockstar. Yes, you heard it right, fictional! Created from my own opiate-addled past.

'Let's hear it for opiates! But I was helped also by real rock stars, some of whom are here tonight.'

Brand then introduced Barat by saying: 'I'm about to give you the greatest rock star our country has produced in the last 20 years.'

Barat played a short solo set, which comprised of new solo material alongside The Libertines' Time For Heroes and Dirty Pretty Things, Bang Bang You're Dead.

After Barat's set Brand's fictional band from the film, Infant Sorrow, took to the stage.

They played a set of material written for the soundtrack by musicians including Barat and Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker.

Did you fly in on the red-eye, Catherine? Zeta-Jones wears unflattering makeup as New York honours husband Michael

By Simon Cable

Red alert: Catherine Zeta Jones wore unflattering makeup as she attended the gala on Monday

Perhaps she was trying to distract attention away from her frail frame.

Well, Catherine Zeta-Jones certainly succeeded with this severe hair and striking makeup.

At an awards ceremony on Monday, her hair was scraped back into a bun that pulled her face taut.

She had applied unflattering red shadow to her lids and even on the bridge of her nose - which made her eyes look rather bloodshot too.

Miss Zeta-Jones did not fare much better with the strapless Marchesa dress she chose for the Film Society's Chaplin Award gala in New York.

Despite being covered with rosettes, organza and sequins, the frock could not hide her rapidly shrinking figure, which has caused alarm in recent months.

The 40-year-old, once lauded for her hourglass frame, has blamed the change on the stress of appearing seven days a week in A Little Night Music on Broadway, while caring for her two children, Dylan, nine and Carys, seven.

Miss Zeta-Jones attended Monday's ceremony in support of her husband Michael Douglas, who was being honoured with a Chaplin Award for his three-decades long acting career.

Meanwhile, Douglas himself wore a simple suit for the presentation, which honoured the extensive body of work he has built up during the course of his career.

He was awarded the 37th annual Chaplin Award by the Film Society of Lincoln Centre for his work both in front of the camera as an actor and behind the scenes as a producer.

Bit of a mesh: Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn't quite cut it in a black sequined dress from the Marchesa Autumn 2009 collection

Honoured: Michael Douglas was at the lice Tully Hall Lincoln Center in New York City to pick up the Film Society's 2010 Chaplin Award

And, in an poignant moment, he was presented the coveted award by his father, acting legend Kirk Douglas who is 93 years of age.

The Film Society's Annual Gala began in 1972 and honoured Charles Chaplin, who returned to the U.S. from exile to accept the commendation.

Since then, the award was renamed for Chaplin, and has honoured many of the film industry's most notable talents, including Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Laurence Olivier, Federico Fellini, Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Davis, James Stewart, Robert Altman, Martin Scorsese, Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep and, most recently, Tom Hanks.

Father and son: In a poignant moment Michael was presented with the award by his father, 93-year-old acting legend Kirk Douglas

Female friends: Erika Christiansen, who played Michael Douglas's drug addict daughter in Traffic, and Brooke Shields

As well as a trophy for his mantelpiece, Michael Douglas was also honoured with a This Is Your Life style lookback at some of the highlights of his successful career, which has seen the actor involved in numerous film projects in a variety of genres.

Film clips commemorating his prolific career, in which the versatile actor has shifted from slick Hollywood hits, like Wall Street and Basic Instinct, to quirky, character-based work, such as the Wonder Boys and King Of California, were featured throughout the night.

Guest presenters included friends and previous collaborators such as Steven Soderbergh, Tobey Maguire, Danny DeVito, Erika Christensen and Barbara Walters

Guest supporters: Danny DeVito and his daughter Lucy, and good friend, musician Jimmy Buffett, accompanied by his wife Jane

A special music performance will be provided by singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, a long-time friend of Douglas, who also performed at the actor's wedding to Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Mara Manus, executive director of The Film Society of Lincoln Centre said: 'Having the opportunity to bestow this honor on as passionate and successful an actor as Michael Douglas, highlighted by the calibre of Michael’s peers and friends who are equally as excited to be a part of the evening, is truly thrilling for all of us here.'

Family affair: (Left to right) Michael Douglas with his mother Anne, wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and father Kirk

Douglas can next be seen in the offbeat, independent comedy-drama Solitary Man (which co-stars Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito and Mary-Louise Parker), which is released in the U.S. on May 21.

And, later this year, he returns to the role that won him an Oscar as sleazy corporate raider Gordon Gekko in the highly anticipated sequel, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, directed by Oliver Stone.

Now she's got the X Factor... Diana Vickers looks every bit the pop star as she films gorgeous video for new single

By Daily Mail Reporter

Blossoming star: Diana Vickers reclines on the sofa as she reads what appear to be love letters in the video for her new single The Boy Who Murdered Love

She's carved out a successful music career for herself, despite being voted off the X Factor two years ago.

And now Diana Vickers is reaping the benefits of her number one single and album, becoming a fully-fledged pop star in her own right.

The 18-year-old has been busy filming the video for her next single The Boy Who Murdered Love and she appears to have blossomed into the archetypal pop starlet.

LISTEN TO THE NEW SONG BELOW...

Wearing a beige dress with sequined detailing, Diana reclines on a sofa in one scene as she seemingly reads some love letters.

In another scene she is sitting on a jetty next to a river holding a dandelion in her hands.

The new promo will accompany the single which is due for release on July 12.

Miss Vickers recently told the Scottish Daily Record that despite her break up with former boyfriend Joshua Jenkins, the new song is not inspired by a personal experience.

She said: 'It is not about anyone in particular. It represents what happens but is not based on experience.

'It's about how you sometimes have a crush on people then they ruin it for you with their actions.

Chart-topper: The X Factor singer has hit the number one spot in both the single and album charts this year

'After every break-up, that kind of thing happens, but I am a romantic so it doesn't ruin it for me.'

Earlier this month Diana's debut single Once topped the charts, followed a week later by her album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree.

Meanwhile, the X Factor star has come under fire from the estranged wife of former Big Brother housemate Billi Bhatti.

Holli Henderson, 26 - who only married Billi in January - said she was devastated to find out the pair had been spotted getting cosy in a London club.

The blonde, who is six-weeks pregnant, has now kicked her hubby out of her Essex home.

Holli told Closer magazine: 'At first he denied it, but I thought, 'I'm not going to stand for this' so I packed all his stuff into bin bags and threw them out the door.

New single: Diana says that, despite her break up with ex-boyfriend Joshua Jenkins, her new single is not based on a personal experience

'I'm really angry. Diana shouldn't be messing around with people's husbands. She could have any man, she doesn't need to have mine.'

Billi has since confirmed they did get together, explaining: 'I did kiss her, I was drinking and I just got carried away. I regret it.'

In a bitter twist, the day after Holli threw Billi out she discovered she was pregnant and is now torn over what to do.

She said: 'If I wasn't pregnant I probably wouldn't take him back at all. But I've got to consider other things now, it's not just me.

'This thing with Diana completely ruined my marriage. I'd go mental if she ever went near my husband again.'
