No regrets: Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted that sometimes her Sex And The City's co-stars feelings get hurt when they spend 90 hours a week on set


Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted there were clashes on the Sex And The City set, saying: 'Sometimes feelings get hurt.'

There have been reports the stars don't get along. But the 45-year-old actress denies that there is a bitter rivalry among the ensemble cast, which includes Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis.

The mother-of-three tells US Marie Claire: 'When you're on set, you're working 90-hour weeks, you're never home, you're exhausted.


'There are times when all of us have been sensitive and sometimes feelings get hurt.
'But I don't have any regrets about how I've treated people.'


Nixon, 44, agrees, saying: 'It hasn't always been smooth sailing. But the idea that we're somehow adversarial is ludicrous.'

Meanwhile co-star Davis, 45, has blasted rumours that she refused to have dinner with Cattrall when the Sex and the City 2 cast filmed in Morocco.

The actress, who plays Charlotte in the movie, says: 'There was a very strange piece in one of the tabloids that said Kim and I would eat in the restaurant of our hotel and not sit together, which cracks me up

'When I would get back from the set, I would go to the gym and get room service.

'I'm not a put-on-decent-clothes-and-go-to-the-hotel-restaurant person. But Kim is. The story was that we don't like each other. Ridiculous.'

In fact Nixon claims the four women even socialise when they're not working together.

The redhead, who plays Miranda, says: 'We go to the theatre together or just go to one of our houses for dinner."

In fact Nixon and Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, have summer homes in neighbouring towns and their sons supposedly play together.

Davis says: 'When we first started, we would all drive out to the Hamptons together at 4am on a Friday night after shooting ended and see the sunrise as we arrived.

'I love those memories. We worked so many hours; just work, work, work, work, work.

'We were all so committed to making the show good. There wasn't room for much else. I had my dog and that was it.'

Cattrall, who plays Samantha, also denies any rift. The 53-year-old says: 'Nineteen-hour workdays are stressful, whether you're driving a truck, working in a coal mine or on a set and trying to be your brightest at 4 o' clock in the morning. But there's a camaraderie that happened through all of that...

'The chemistry among the four of us is very strong.'

In fact Cattrall suggests the rumours of discord among the stars is tabloid fantasy. Because the press has to put women in these boxes rather than show them as the movie portrays them: working together and being powerful,' she says.

'Things just have to be explosive for no other reason than for people's imaginations.' Nixon even says she would happily do a third Sex and the City movie, 12 years after the TV series was first born.

'If Sarah Jessica and [writer/ director] Michael Patrick [King] want to make another I'm there. I'd go along with them blindfolded.'

As for keeping the plot of the current movie under wraps the Sex and the City 2 producers went so far as to print scripts on anti-scan security paper, according to reports.

Supposedly if anyone tried to copy a page, the words 'do not copy' would print all over it, making it impossible to read.

Costume designer Patricia Field says they even tried to fool the public and the paparazzi when they filmed scenes for the movie in New York. She says: 'When we knew paparazzi were there, we put the actresses in disguises to keep the surprise.

'The white [wedding] dress [that Cattrall was pictured in] was one of the them.'

Cheryl Cole wears most daring outfit yet as she strips to nude bodysuit in stage duel with risqué Fergie

As the Black Eyed Peas tour swung into London last night, frontwoman Fergie and support act Cheryl Cole both battled it out to bag the title for best crowd pleaser.
And it seems the pair had similar ideas - involving wearing as little clothing as possible.

Cheryl opened the show, stripping down to a nude-coloured cut out bodice complete with a silver sequinned upper half.

She gave fans a right eyeful as she strutted around on stage in the ensemble, revealing her toned legs and barbed wire tattoo wrapped around her right thigh.

Not to be outdone, after X Factor judge Cheryl had completed her 30-minute set, Fergie certainly didn't disappoint as she took centre stage at the O2 Arena.

The 35-year-old poured her curves into a black leather bask, complete with a triangular codpiece-style cover placed over her leather pants.

The band's world tour kicked off last September in Japan, taking them on to Australia and into the U.S. before the European leg started in Dublin last week.

It was at this point Cheryl was brought on board as the support act. She will continue touring with the band for the next two months as they plays dates in France, Italy, Spain, and other destinations before climaxing in Belgium.

The Peas will then take the show on to North America and Canada, at which point Cheryl will be released from her duties.

Cheryl is good pals with the band, especially producer Will.i.am, who worked with her on her debut solo album 3 Words.

He has had nothing but praise for her, describing her as 'the most beautiful woman in the world'.

The 35-year-old told The Sun: 'I just still can't believe Cheryl was ever cheated on. I mean what has to be going through your head.'

Cheryl announced she was separating from her footballer husband Ashley Cole earlier this year following a string of lurid allegations that he had cheated on her with a string of women.

Billie Piper becomes the world's highest paid 'prostitute' as she signs a £400,000 deal to reprise her role as Belle de Jour

Vice has its virtues for Billie Piper. The actress has joined the ranks of Britain's best paid TV stars after agreeing a £400,000 deal to reprise the role of Belle de Jour.

Her commitment to a fourth series of The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl for ITV2 will see her earn £50,000 an episode.

In total, it is considerably more than the £100,000 which Brooke Magnanti - the real-life Belle whose diary inspired the TV series - says she earned in her time as a £300-an-hour prostitute.

Miss Piper's bumper pay packet puts the 27-year-old former singer some way ahead of most soap stars, and has surprised some because Secret Diary does not even air on ITV's main channel.

However, the series has been a ratings hit and when it debuted in 2007 it recorded an impressive 1.8million viewers, one of the biggest audiences for ITV2 since the digital channel was launched.

The fourth series is said to follow the character as she continues to juggle her double life as an author and an escort.

Filming for the show will begin later this year and ITV2 is hoping to screen the series from January 27, 2011.

Billie has won awards for her role in the drama series which is based on the blog and the books by the pseudonymous Belle de Jour.

But after series three finished in March, she admitted that she did not know where the programme could further take her character.

Tony Awards dominated by Hollywood as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Jude Law lead nominations

'Bewitching': Catherine Zeta-Jones wowed critics in A Little Night Music - and now had a Tony Award nomination
While Denzel Washington and Viola Davis both being recognised for their leading roles in the smash hit play Fences.


Movie stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jude Law led Britain's assault on Broadway's Tony Awards.

It was a year where the theatre season in New York saw many big names from the celluloid screen treading the boards in Manhattan.

Scarlett Johansson was nominated for a best supporting actress Tony for her debut stage performance in A View From The Bridge.

Zeta-Jones was nominated for leading actress in a musical for. A Little Night Music, her co-star Angela Lansbury was listed in the best supporting actress in a musical category.

In A Little Night Music, Zeta-Jones, 40, plays an actress, Desiree Armfeldt , who rekindles a romance with an old flame.

The Welsh star gets to sing the famous Stephen Sondheim song Send In The Clowns.

In the past couple of years her film career hasn't handed her the kind of roles an actress of her stature deserved (she won an Oscar for Chicago), so moving back to the stage was a shrewd move and now she has a Tony nomination to prove it.

Commenting on her nomination today, she said: 'What a thrill to be nominated! The experience of doing this incredible show and working every night with such a talented group of people has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

'And now to be nominated for a Tony, in my dreams, I couldn't imagine a better way to make my Broadway debut.'

Other nominations for A Little Night Music included those for the mainly British creative team led by director Terry Johnson and choreographer Lynne Page.

Law was nominated in the lead actor section for his Hamlet which he originally performed for the Donmar West End before the production transferred to Manhattan in October.

Unfortunately there were no nods for his girlfriend Sienna Miller, whose performance in the Patrick Marber play After Miss Julie failed to impress critics.

Law,clearly thrilled with his Tony nomination for the Donmar Theatre's Hamlet , commented tonight: 'What a great honour. Bringing our production of Hamlet to New York will always be one of the highlights of my career and to receive this recognition amongst these other brilliant actors only makes this experience sweeter.'

Fellow British actor Alfred Molina was also nominated for his portrait of the artist Mark Rothko in Red. His co-star Eddie Redmayne was also short-listed in the best supporting actor line-up.

Douglas Hodge, a much lauded actor from TV and productions of plays by Harold Pinter found himself nominated for leading actor in a musical for his performance as a transvestite nightclub singer in La Cage Aux Folles.


And the nominations are... The nominees for the 64th Tony Awards were unveiled in New York City today by actors Jeff Daniels and Glee star Lea Michele


The show, originally presented at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London, opened on Broadway to rave reviews for Hodge last month.

The Menier Chocolate Factory took a huge chunk of nominations for La Cage and A Little Night Music, both of which originated at the theatre near London Bridge.

Hodge was thrilled with his nomination and today he told the Daily Mail:'if you had told me five years ago that I'd be on Broadway in a musical wearing a dress I'd have laughed in your face. But here I am doing just that.'

Hodge said that with eight performances. A week it was a little difficult to find time to celebrate his nomination.

The Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden did equally well with a total of nine nominations for Red and Hamlet including a nomination for the Donmar's artistic director Michael Grandage.

Last year, Billy Elliot an import from London to Broadway became the toast of the town when it won the best musical award and a raft of others.

Brits generally do well on Broadway and Eddie Redmayne is a shining example of a Brit doing well.

He and Alfred Molina originated their roles at the Donmar Warehouse where the latter portrayed artist Mark Rothko and Redmayne his assistant Ken.

Initially, Redmayne was nervous about taking a play featuring American characters played by British actors to New York.

'We were also taking the play Red to a much bigger theatre and re-defining it but as soon as I heard the police sirens outside and the sound coming through the walls of the theatre I knew we were in the right place.' Redmayne told the Daily Mail.

There's a tradition on Broadway where a new show puts on a 'gypsy run' at a special matinee for performers from neighbouring shows.

'So, there we are with Angela Lansbury and Christopher Walken in the audience it was like some terrible trial by fire but we got through it and the theatre community here are great,' Redmayne explained.

He also got a visit from Johansson, who was his leading lady in the film The Other Boleyn Girl.

'She was down the road in A View From A Bridge and suddenly you get a message that Scarlett Johansson's in the house.'

He said that the news of his Tony nomination has made him feel like an 'excitable child'.

He explained: 'It's early in the morning over here. And the idea of so much activity is very excitable.actors who were on stage last night or out at some function are usually still in bed so to be up at this hour talking about a Tony award nomination is very exciting whichever way you look at it.'

The Tony Awards on June 13 in New York will almost rival the Oscars with a starry line-up expected to attend.

Other mega star power will be provided by the producers of the much nominated musical Fela!

The show, which heads to London's National Theatre in November, collected eleven nominations.

The producers include Shawn Carter - better known as rapper Jay -Z , and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Jay-Z's going to the ceremony with Beyonce and the Smiths will certainly be there.

As fellow Fela! Producer Stephen Hendel remarked: 'There are going to be more stars at this year's Tony show than we've seen in years'.

He said that he has asked Jay-Z and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to come to the opening of Fela! In London in the Autumn.

Dressed casually in a black blazer and skinny jeans, Diaz, 37, loaded a waiting car with her bags before climbing into the chauffeur-driven vehicle.

The romance between Diaz and Rodriguez seems to be blossoming since they were first spotted dirty dancing in February at a Super Bowl party in Miami.

Former Buffy, The Vampire Slayer actor David Boreanaz has admitted cheating on his wife.

The actor, currently starring in Sky1 crime drama Bones, decided to come clean over his infidelity to his wife Jaime Bergman after a former mistress threatened to sell her story.

The 40-year-old actor admitted he was 'irresponsible' and was determined to fix his nine-year marriage.

Boreanaz and former Playboy Playmate Bergman, 34, married in 2001 and have a son Jaden, eight, and daughter Bardot, eight months.

The actor, who played good vampire Angel in the Buffy TV show and its spin-off Angel, revealed he had been unfaithful after his former lover contacted a lawyer and asked for money to buy her silence.

'I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.'

Boreanaz declined to name his mistress, adding: 'I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with.

'She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.'

With the truth out in the open, Boreanaz is hoping his wife will forgive him so they can move on with their marriage.

Boreanaz was previously married to social worker Ingrid Quinn for two years before divorcing in 1999.

The actor is the latest in a long list of celebrity males whose alleged infidelity has been revealed in recent months.

He joins England footballers John Terry and Ashley Cole, Take That singer Mark Owen, golfer Tiger Woods and Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James, who have all been involved in alleged cheating scandals.

Is Doctor Who getting too scary for kids? Children back behind the sofa as vampires strike

Too scary for children? Young fans will be cowering behind the sofa as vampires attack in the next episode of Doctor Who


During the 1970s terrified children would hide behind the sofa in a bid to escape the Daleks.

But these days Doctor Who fans have a lot more to be frightened of than a slow moving piece of tin made from a rubbish bin.

The next episode will see the Doctor attacked by a clan of vampires wielding sharp fangs, as he visits 17th century Venice.

The fifth series has already seen the Doctor face the Weeping Angels, the terrifying Smilers, and the old favourites the Daleks.

The show's new writer Steven Moffat has made it clear that he aims to scare, with some 'spine chilling' scenes.

'We're now going for proper scares in four and five, so some good spine chilling stuff on its way,' he said.

'If you took a vote amongst the playgrounds of Britain they'd all be saying 'make it scary, you're meant to be behind that sofa!'

But as the aliens get ever more inventive, parents are sure to question whether their children can handle the excitement.

One wrote on the MailOnline: 'I caught the last few minutes of it on Saturday and commented that it probably would have scared the living daylights out of me if I had seen that aged around 9 or 10.

'Nowadays I think kids must be becoming de-sensitised.'

Another viewer loved the thrill.

'I was hiding behind the cushions and occasionally watching through the crack of the living room door in the 1970's and I loved every chilling minute of it!
'It was just as scary then as it is now.'

The BBC has come under fire for being 'too scary' before, with an episode featuring alien-possessed corpses back in 2005.

Then they said the content was 'carefully considered' for the pre-watershed audience.
The show is aimed at the family market, with this week's episode to be broadcast at 6pm.

But it has already drawn complaints from some about the miniskirts worn by the Doctor's leggy assistant Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan.

Last week's episode even saw her attempt to seduce The Doctor, played by Matt Smith, pushing him up against the side of the tardis in her bedroom.

She joked about how long it was since the 907-year-old Time Lord last had sex, making suggestive innuendoes and provocatively lying down on the bed in front of him.

Fans were unimpressed with the development.

Patrick, from Slough, commented: 'Wrong wrong wrong.. Basic rule has always been - 'No sex in the TARDIS'

'The Doctor's essential 'otherness' is destroyed if he gets sexually involved with his companions.'

And Soaks from Sevenoaks wrote: 'Many children look up to Dr Who so what message are you sending out to young girls and boys? Why not change the record and bring in intelligent, classy women?'

This week's upcoming episode, written by Toby Whithouse, sees the Doctor, played by Matt Smith, taking Amy for a romantic mini-break in Venice.

But when the Tardis lands in the city, they discover dessicated corpses and terror in the canal.

They need to get past the blood-sucking residents of the House of Calvierri and the rest of the scary vampire killers.
