The legal woes that he is facing evidently doesn't make his popularity fades, instead it increases ratings for his TV sitcom with the biggest audience in over a year.
Charlie Sheen's legal woes have bolstered ratings for his TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men" - the U.S. show has snared its biggest audience in over a year following the actor's Christmas day, December 25, 2009, arrest.
Sheen was back to work at the comedy show last Monday, January 4, and shot his first episode on Friday, January 8, - just days after he was arrested and jailed following a heated fight with his wife Brooke Mueller. He was taken into custody by cops in Aspen, Colorado after reportedly threatening Mueller with a knife during the argument.
But the bust-up has proved to be a boom for Sheen's show. The actor and his castmates crushed competition, snaring a season high with 17.3 million viewers on Monday night, January 11.
Sheen faces charges of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He is due in court later this month, January 10, to ask officials to lift the protection order.
